Key Service Features

The service consists of a synergistic mix of one-to-one and group modules, designed to equip candidates with vital tools and information whilst offering a personal and adaptable service for the individual. Our objective is to provide candidates with the knowledge, skills and, perhaps most importantly, the confidence required to deal with change.

Engaging With Employees

To engage with departing employees, a one-to-one meeting is vital in order to get to know each individual and help them to focus during this time of change and perhaps uncertainty. This opportunity allows our consultants to identify an individual’s existing skills, abilities and career goals, as well as their personal drivers and aspirations. We can then advise them on areas they may need to develop or improve, as well as how to optimise their existing strengths.

 

Developing Individuals’ Skills and Techniques

Having identified an individual’s skills and strengths, we are then able to advise them on how best to present themselves to prospective employers.

Key areas covered include:

• How to maximise the effectiveness of a CV and covering letters
• Guidance on how to work with agencies
• How to access and effectively utilise useful information sources
• Networking – how to effectively network and get the most out of this process
• The best methods and techniques used to target internet job boards
• How to approach interviews, with interview advice and techniques (this can be included in a comprehensive separate group workshop)

Planning and Motivation

A departing employee’s future success is largely down to their hard work, commitment and application of the advice and skills covered in the programme. Recognising this, we focus on giving individuals tools and techniques, enabling them to think ahead, organise themselves efficiently and continue to improve their own job hunting prospects.

Key areas targeted include:

• Organisation, planning and presentation skills
• Daily routine and goal setting
• How to prepare and plan job hunting activities
• Motivation techniques

Planning and motivation is the final element of the programme, ensuring that individuals complete the programme motivated and feeling in control, able to effectively and confidently manage their own career goals and aspirations.

Post Programme Support

Even though a departing employee may have completed our programme, we recognise that continued support is vital for continued success. For this reason, we offer telephone support until they find a job. We also love to hear how people are getting on, particularly when they have secured a new role.

We are also able to offer more comprehensive follow up support services, and are more than happy to work with you to create a solution in-line with your needs.
